Tata Motors is bringing back the legendary Tata Nano in an all-new electric avatar for 2025. Once known as the “people’s car” for its ultra-affordable pricing, the Nano is now being revived with EV technology, futuristic design, and enhanced features. The Tata Nano 2025 is expected to become India’s most accessible and practical electric city car, appealing to budget-conscious buyers and first-time car owners.
Compact Design, Modern Styling
The new Tata Nano EV will retain its compact footprint, ideal for urban driving and narrow streets, but with major upgrades in design. Expect LED headlamps, a refreshed front grille, stylish alloys, and a minimalist modern interior with touchscreen infotainment, digital instrument cluster, and connected car tech. The design remains cute but far more futuristic than the earlier model.
Electric Powertrain and Range
While official specs are yet to be confirmed, the Tata Nano 2025 EV is expected to come with a Lithium-ion battery offering a range of 150–200 km on a full charge, making it perfect for daily commuting. It will likely support standard and fast charging and may come with regenerative braking for improved efficiency. The performance will be tuned for city rides — smooth, quiet, and practical.
Price and Launch Timeline
Tata is expected to price the Nano EV between ₹4.5 to ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable electric cars in India. It will directly compete with upcoming small EVs like MG Comet, Maruti EVX, and PMV EaS-E. The official launch is expected in late 2025 or early 2026, and excitement is already building up in the budget EV segment.
